France to The North Cap, Norway

I've always fancied this trip, but a couple of things are putting me off.

1. 80kph
Does the speed limit look like an issue?

2. Price of everything, especially the beer with which I cannot do without at the end of a day's riding.
Take your own and buy cheap shit from supermarkets.
Pack your own vodka or something that takes up less space than beer.

3. Liv doesn't seem to rate it, but never says why . . .
Because the far north isn't as stunning as the South/Mid West. It's nice, but not as stunning. The roads aren't as twisty and get a bit samey.

On the other hand, I'd love to see the aurora.

You won't see Aurora Borealis in June in Norway! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora_(astronomy)

And why I have never been to Nordkapp, riding a motorbike?
It is too far! Too many kilometres, riding away from the fun area; in the south and west.

When I was in Scotland I meet a native Scot who had lived in Norway for some years. He said the best part of Norway is NOT like Scotland, it is much better. And the best part is NOT up north but in the fjord area, like Sognefjorden, Voss, Gudvangen, Turtagrø, Lom, Sognefjell, and so on.

-Why do so many Norwegians go to the fjord area, again and again? -Could it be because they like it? :):augie
-Who do some people (Norwegians too) go to Nordkapp only once in their lifetime? Because it is not that funny...
-The people who live in the north part of Norway, where do they do on holiday? They go south, like the fjord area, Oslo, or to Spain and Greece.

:) Liv.
