Any peeps here know of any accessible places/roads in the Haut Jura offering views across Lake Geneva?

TIA :thumb2

Port de Rives any good?

How high up do you want to go to look across the lake?

My favourite is the Col De La Faucille on the road down to Gex. Heavily laden with fresh Comte cheese for the run around the lake to Hotel Des Princes on the Geneva side of Evian-les-Bains ready for the RDGA first thing the next morning.

Many thanks. :thumb

Col de la Faucille

Not a bad suggestion, but I much prefer the road from GinGins to Saint Cerque, which then goes onto La Givrine and the border and La Cure. Just before Saint Cerque there is a small lay by on the left, and on the opposite side of the road is a bench with magnificent views across Lac Leman with Mount Blanc in the distance.

Now a couple of much quieter, but harder to find alternatives:

Check out the little road that goes from GinGins to La Dole and La Barillette. It's narrow and twisty but there is a cafe at La Dole and the views fro La Barilette (big feck off aerial) are magnificent. You're at about 1400m at this point.
There's also a smaller road which runs parallel to the above right next to the border. You access it at the campsite near La Rippe on the Route du Jura. This has the best view of Mont Blanc at the top but I have only ever cycled this one. It's narrow and steep, with great Tarmac though. The view is just past the summer chalet right at the end about 100 metres before the cow gate.

Hope that helps.
