If anyone wants a copy the deal is the same as before. It comes on 2 CD's as .wmv video files which will play in Windows XP Media Player.
Email or PM me you address, and I'll get them out asap. In exchange, you can pass a good deed forward. PB :beerjug:

Is the DVD a film or a manual??? I ask as if its a film I would really like a copy as I love knowing how things work and taking apart a BMW would be very interesting.

I wish that the guy who does the "A ???? is Born" would do up an old air head PD for us so we can all tape the series and he would have a great bike at the end.

It's a film of Flash (a Chain Gang inmate) working on his F650 and talking about what he is doing as he goes along. You get to see the actual arsing around involved in splitting engine cases, pulling the clutch etc. with some helpful hints thrown in.

It comes on 2 CD-R's as .wmv video files, which play in Windows XP Media Player.
Email or PM me an address, and I get them out to you. :beerjug: PB

Many thanks you are a Star man.

These are just superb. Its like teh Vet on A Bike is born but far more detail and as it happens rather than as it happens "in the studio".

I owe you one.

Excellent idea, but does anyone know if they do a similar DVD for the 1150 Adventure?

Taff,

Sorry, but the Chain Gang site is the US version of Trevors F650.co.uk, ie very F650 specific. No use unless you have an F650 variant bike.
BTW, If you do find any 1150/1200 maintenance stuff I would be interested. PB

Hello Pondboy,

Just set up a profile today, lots of interesting stuff here. Very taken with the idea of getting hold of the DVD set. Steering head bearings being a very exciting prospect. Also, it would make a nice companion to the Workshop manual I got recently. Logged onto the chain gang website, but did not find the download info. So I tried to send you an email but was not allowed, worked out what a PM was but was shut out again. Do I need to pay sponsorship to get any further. Anyway, I will check back later this week to see whether there is anyway I can get hold of this dvd. Might even try Kazaa or something.

Anyway, as this is my first post, ever, to any forum, I think I will leave it at that.

cheers

F650's DVD

Hello there PB,
I'd be very much interested in getting these DVD's on the F650.
Mine is a 2003 GS Model.

Since I live in Northern Italy, would you be so kind to inform me on what I need to do to get it? ...providing it is still possible.

Many thanks
Bluejay :D

Bluejay,

If you can't get the bittorrent (It took me 7 days to download both disks) email me at pondboy (at) thewatermargin.com with your address and I'll post out a set.

My sister has a place in Venice which I want to visit, so I might arrange to pop over and see you next year for some Italian food (not Pizza) and a bottle of plonk.

All the best PB :thumb
