Free/cheap personal finance software?

As above really, looking for something very simple for student types to show incomings/outgoings that will enable them to see what they're doing.
I have microsoft money on my home PC, but that doesn't seem to be available any more.

you don't need fancy software just a few basic formula's to see the two columns input and output

you can make it more fancy but...why bother...
