Free Replacement Drive Shaft at 37,500 Miles by BMW!

Hi lads,

I had a letter direct from bmw telling me of recall for driveshaft and the mileage checks 60k if I recall. Mines only over 50k but service is due. Phoned bmw and they're claiming there's no recall due on my VIN. I've mislaid the bloody letter that I got in the post.

What would you do. 2019, r1250gs

Go to another dealer as their talking Shite!!!!

It isn't a recall. It is a change in the maintenance schedule.

They dont know what they are doing.I emailed customer services about it.No, we know nothing.So I rang round the dealers.Williams, Manchester said they'd ring back.They didnt. Chester didnt know anything.
Cotswold Motorrad knew all about it and explained it thoroughly, so when mines due, Ill be having a couple of days away...

had mine done there three months ago as part of the 36k service - they mentioned it at the time of booking

I've had the shaft replaced once already when they took it in took it in to do the drive shaft casing upgrade (valve thingy) circa 15k miles and it was confirmed to me at the time by Bowker Motorrad, Preston that going forward it would be replaced, at their cost at certain mileages. Bonus
