Free test ride of G450X at Wakes Colne (Championship MX course) 21st Sept

There's a launch for the G450X going on at Wakes Colne (apparently a British championship MX course) on the 21st Sept, and any GSers are invited.

It's being hosted by Cannon BMW Braintree (we bumped into them at the Essex Air ambulance ride where they'd donated a bike to the cause) and is F.O.C.

I asked for details to pass on and here we go......

We are launching the G450X road legal enduro motorcycle at Wakes Colne - A British Championship Motocross course, we have the venue for the whole day, there will be catering facilities onsite, and other facilities include, toilets and parking and a fabulous spectator viewing area. We will have James Yearly (our very own Enduro Rider), we are sponsoring him next season, who will be giving demonstrations and coaching those who wish to test ride the bike.

The event will be signposted from the main road and we hope to kick off at around 10.30am and will aim to finish at around 4.30pm.

Anybody wishing to test ride the bike, should e-mail Cannon in the first instance, we will respond next week with time slots.

Seems like a pretty good chance for Essex people to get their muddy hands on the bike and give it a bit of a blast around the sort of course that it will feel very at home on!!

I e-mailed them weeks ago, no reply yet? their invite also said you could take your own bike round, that'll be the KTM 525 exc not me GS! I'll e-mail them again, see what happens, who else might be going, regards Dusan

The Course will be signposted from the Viaduct on the A1124 between Halstead and Colchester please follow the Cannon Motorcycyle signs to the track, you know you are on the right track if you pass the Llamas !!

As you arrive, please park and make your way to the signing station where you will be given your test ride time and asked to sign a consent form. if you plan to ride your own bike on the track we would like to see your registration document.

Test rides between 10am – 11am
11am – 12am
12pm – 1pm
1pm - 2pm
2pm - 3pm
3pm - 4pm

Test rides will last approximately 10 minutes and you will have the opportunity to use the whole track.

The track will be marshalled (help needed please – after your test ride) we will also have traveling marshalls for your safety.

St John’s Ambulance will be in attandance for your safety.

There will be a Catering Unit on site serving hot beverages and food.
