giong on a tour of black forrest in august
is there enough to do for 2 nights in this place's do you think
& can anybody recomend a place to stay in both places

I've been to both but not for very long (for no other reason than they were en route to to other places). Neither of them are Las Vegas but Freiburg is a large town (might even be classed as a city) and Fussen is a small and pretty (albeit a bit touristy) place.

Things to do for 2 nights in Germany? Use your imagination or if all else fails, have a few decent biers and a few schnapps. I hear that Jägermeister is rather popular :thumb

There are easily enough routes to occupy you for a couple of days, see bestbikingroads or just get a michelin map and see how many scenic routes there are. Don't forget the Touratech factory at Niedereschach is in this region and worth a visit.

We stayed in the Hotel Waldblick near Schiltach. It's nice and central and part of the German motorbike chain. We pitched up there a couple of years ago absolutely drenched, couldn't have got a warmer welcome, taken straight to the boiler room to dry out our kit, bikes garaged and quality rooms. It's 3* so not cheap but not too expensive either.

Hope this helps

Just spent 5/6 days at this place, 4 GSers and RT1100
Hotel owner is BMW owner and exceptional hospitality.:beerjug:

I hope to return in Sept.

As to roads etc on the doorstep are all the recommended bike routes, and easily enough for more than two days, plus just across to the West is the Alsace and the Vosges Mountains.

Schwangau

This is a quiet 'kurrhousen' village right next to the Castle.
We booked for 7 nights a fgew years back and the digs were exceptionally pretty with big balconies overlooking the Castle - all lit up at night - we sorted out a carry-oot and proceeded to have a few beers on the balcony - the house frau did not like this and kicked up a fuss.
One night we rode into the town only to find that 'motorcycles not allowed in it' - as its a kurrhouse (get well village).
Anyway MCN voted this into 3rd place as the most unwelcoming place for motorcycles
I have to say I agree
however
The roads and views are exceptional

There is good curry house in Freiburg ... honest!!

Hotel Zum Baren is nice. Lockable garage etc ... but not cheap

A Kur is a rehabilitation village for people just out of hospital and the like.

What a surprise they didn't make a load of hairy arsed bikers welcome :blast
