As there has been quiet a lot of discussion on this site regarding breathalysers I though some of you who may be venturing to France for your summer holidays may be interested in puchasing some.

I'm selling pairs for £4.75 posted to mainland uk as below.

Just pm me with your address and I'll send you my paypal link. Please pay as Paypal gift.

I thought it was from the 1st of July this year! I maybe wrong though.

people dont need them until november though

Fines don't start until November but my undrstanding is that plod will be carring out checks from the 1st of July. I for one will want to make sure if pulled plod knows I'm up to date with the latest legislation and from experiance that means a quicker exit.

Personally imo this legislation is as bad as legalised racism :eek

I'm allergic to alcohol.. no no drinking for me, but forcing me to carry the stuff is just not right! :rob

Trouble is every fecker traveling around europe has to go through French France might as well get some!

I've been in France 3 times this month already this month and there are none for sale anywhere in France taht I could find. I couldn't find any in supermarkets or petrol stations and the tunnel and ferries are selling them for £6.95.
The fact is that French plod isn't likely to stop you just to see if you are carrying these things. You'll get stopped for another reason and then also be asked to show you have them in which case the quick exit strategy is flawed because whatever you were stopped for is still going to be your nemesis - not lack of breathalizers :thumb

Yup. Same down here in the SW. Norauto were selling them last month, but there are none to be found anywhere now. My own view is that this law won't be around long. There are serious questions being asked about the introduction of the legislation after the chief lobbyist was found to be CEO of the company that produces the kit ... a company that was recently in dire financial straits, by all accounts.

Remember that if you absolutely never drink and drive, and you never intend to use the self-test kit, you only need to carry one - not two!

I'm allergic to alcohol too. Too much of it makes me feel sick and gives me a headache :D

i got mine from halfords....... on line only for the cheap "nf" packaged ones. i also see that replacement tubes are also sold for them that like a beer or two.

I paid 1 euro each whilst in France in May this year. Maybe I should have bought a few thousand.

Still the same price in E. Leclerc supermarkets....
