Still the same price in E. Leclerc supermarkets....

;)

A bit pointless though, as the ad shows 'the product is unavailable ...'

Should have added in stock at that price.

Got back from France on Friday 13th July. Tried several petrol stations, two supermarkets and about five pharmacies; nobody had any of these. My guess is the French aren't bothering until they can actually be fined (November, from memory).

They may also be hoping that the discovery that the minister chiefly responsible for driving this daft piece of legislation through has shares in a company that makes them may result in the law being rescinded.

Maybe we should adopt their healthy approach to rules: 1. Rules are always negotiable, especially if you have a good reason. 2. Rules apply to everyone except oneself.

I've been in France 3 times this month already this month and there are none for sale anywhere in France taht I could find. I couldn't find any in supermarkets or petrol stations and the tunnel and ferries are selling them for £6.95.
The fact is that French plod isn't likely to stop you just to see if you are carrying these things. You'll get stopped for another reason and then also be asked to show you have them in which case the quick exit strategy is flawed because whatever you were stopped for is still going to be your nemesis - not lack of breathalizers :thumb

People waited until the last moment. And then someone guy (probably from the company that sells the majority) said you need 2 of them, since if you use 1, you need to have one that is in working condition. If you used your only one, then you will be fined.

In my area they were selling the for €1.50, but now stocks have run out all over France.
