french petition against traditional barriers

seen a few articles about various petitions to have the traditional armco barrier replaced with a more bike friendly version...

" bloke down the pub" reckons they are, but as im an old cynical twat it of course has nothing to do with installation cost or maintenance

anyone heard the french are actively changing theirs to concrete walls in the name of road safety
