French Tolls - What if I'm in a car?

get out! no choice, unless you have leccy windows and throw the money in the bin ones but if you do long distance you have to put the ticket in

I have to get out here (UK) in my car

only just moved back from there

Do Autoroute tolls cater for British cars if the driver's on their own?

Or am I going to have to get out and run round?!?

If you've got a sun roof you can go to the HGV toll booths that have a higher window. Just pull up, open your sun roof, stand on your passenger seat and pay the toll.

You'll find that the ones close to the channel ports usually have a "Brit" lane designated by the Union Flag, where the ticket machine/booth is to your right. Elsewhere if you have a narrow car and/or long arms stretch across. If you can't reach then you get out, walk round and pay on foot! With luck, this has the compensation of making several Frenchmen behind you rather irate. :thumb
