Ride home last night p-in-t-a, but otherwise uneventful, it being hissing rain in Surrey, and thus all the box jockeys doing 100+ down the A3 to get home before they have an accident

Anyway, tootle off again this a.m. to work - get a few miles to the first major junction and have to change down and - nothing below 4th. Click click stomp stomp - nowt. Eventually manage to get down to 1st at the stop after much lever-and-clutch shinannigans and carry on, but same thing later on. And on, and on.
Eventually get to work (middle of London - great, not many lights etc then) and apply loadsa WD40 pinched off the maint blokes at lunchtime to the pedal linkage and; now totally fine again, as anticipated.
So, if you are doing loadsa stuff in this crape weather, might be worth a squirt of lube/good clean soon, and take a mini tin of WD under the saddle.
