Where is it weeping from? And sorry to ask what may be a dumb question, but what was tightening torque for right hand banjo in photo?

Hi Nic . weep from the right hand side where washers replaced , coming from the one neat the splitter , no torque used wrist tight .

Previous owner must have had the same problem , it had been apart in the past , so some one else has had a go , why its making me think a crack , goin to have another look tomorrow

Visually the banjo doesn't look to have been tightened. To form a seal the washer deforms under torque. Try refitting the splitter then torquing the banjo to spec (24Nm) and check again for weep - you can remove the union afterwards. Reason to refit it first is so you can apply the torque to banjo

Although you now have it sorted :)

In your pic the LH lower washer was noticeably more crushed than the rh one

as everyone said, more torque req'd, but with buggered threads, stripping would have probably been more in order

The copper washers were actually diffrent thickness ,they were what i had to hand ,i ordered 20 hell washers so hopefully dont run out ....
