Hi
If anyone could give me a quick response it would be appreciated, off line in 2 hours ( 1pm 31/07/08 ) as hoping to be on the continent tomorrow.
Just changed the pads in my 2002 R1150GS, Non ABS. Evo type ( Brembo marked )
Noticed on left hand front caliper, holes in 3 out of 4 of the plastic inserts in the centre of the caliper pistons.
I have checked as many relevant threads as I can find but still unsure as to what these inserts actually do and is it ok to ride with holes in them.
Pistons are fine and move freely with the metal outer ring of the piston now pushing on the pads.
No fluid leaks and I guess the holes have been there a while.
Do need to change the pistons before I go on holiday tomorrow ???
If yes, then what is the easiest method of putting new brake pistons in ??
Any help greatfully received
Who needs brakes anyway ??? , they only slow you down !!!!!!
