My 2008 F800GS came with the horrible bouncing reservoir stuck up in the air on a spring, and I Hated It. Then the 2012/13 revisions happened and the reservoir was fitted to the master cylinder, just like the 1200’s. And it’s a straight swap. Result! It’s much neater, doesn’t get hit on an ‘off’; unless it’s a really big one, in which case you will have bigger problems; and doesn’t distract you by being in your eye line all the time.
