Best way to loosen the bolts impact driver or heat?

Second heat, they are thread locked in.
As said already, heat and a well fitting tool used with care, otherwise it a possible

My wife's hairdryer produced more than enough heat to do the job - don't be talked into buying some sort of gadget that isn't needed!

I used an Aldi hot air gun. But getting a big chunk of aluminium alloy to >100C takes a fair old time. An IR thermometer is helpful.

The hairdryer is a 2100w one, and was well up to the job - a minute or so with the nozzle on each bolt head and they came out easily....I'd no way of measuring the temperature reached, but they were hot enought to elicit a 'bastard!' when I picked one up!

innocent looking spring clips with an external barb, Jesus do they hurt when they dig in !!!
Just got the discs from BMW Tonbridge reassuringly expensive but they do have a two year warranty
