Front discs

Stephen, I received this from Ady:

"Hello Richard,
I do believe Mr Stallebrass ordered these himself. But as you can see they do not list two of the discs for your model on their site. All they list for the front disc is the Halo for your model. And I can see there was a mistake on the prices that Stephen paid for the discs.

Regards
Ady"

It appears that you got lucky! I may have to go for the oe items....

not happy

I just gave Off Road Only the part numbers that I got from the Moto-Master website (linked to above) and they ordered them, no problems.

I would phone ORO directly and see what the problem is? Are they using those part numbers, if not why not, they are clearly on the Moto-Master website.

I can find those part numbers on the website, but the F800GS is not listed...... perhaps, although they don't list them, the discs are the same dimensions as ours...who knows?

Ady also said those wavey discs are more expensive than the others!

I will try phoning them.

Rich

These discs are also available via Wunderlich but they're obviously more expensive, which is why I sourced them elsewhere. But I used Wunderlich to find the relevant Moto-Master part numbers.

I suspect the confusion, as you suggest, is coming from the fact that they are not listed under the F800GS model and hence he can't find them. If he just used the part numbers to search/order, it would be fine.

It wouldn't surprise me if they made a mistake on my pricing, they seemed to be great value. But if they are saying they're more expensive than I would consider another brand. Try F800 depot... I remember there was another brand of wavey discs that I liked but I can't remember the name.

To my knowledge, wavey discs are better because they cool more efficiently??? I'm sure Google will reveal all. I got them as I needed new ones, heard they were good, I like look of wavey discs and I got a great quote.

My wavey Moto-Master discs are just as good as the OEM discs. Only fitted them a month or two ago and not ridden it that much & especially not fully tested them yet as it's been wet quite a lot. Plus, I've been riding my new Kawasaki GTR1400.

I think you may have gotten lucky with the price - the F800 Depot discs I found previously and they are £200 ea.

I appreciate your help, thanks Stephen.

*edit*

At last found them, but price confirmed £200 ea. here https://www.bike-design.nl/en/product/168031/flame-brake-disc

The Halos are listed at around £100 ea.... mmmm https://www.bike-design.nl/en/produ...277&f%5Bbd%5D%5Bmod%5D=462&f%5Bbd%5D%5Bu%5D=1

I don't get it. Halos for 2006-on are £200 ea....I don't know what the above ones are.
