Last week one of the seals on my front forks started to leak a bit of oil. I'm getting new seals tommorow but I'm not sure if I should do the job before going to Belguim next week or wait 'till I return? I was wondering if anybody had any tips on this job? i.e. can you just pierce the seal and lever out to replace as a quick method, as per "normal" forks or is it just as easy to fully strip?
I have the GS workshop CD-rom which has all the basic info - but is a bit lacking as regards short-cuts!

Any tips appreciated, Cheers.......................Grizzly

Mine are just being replaced this week. They have been leaking for a couple of weeks or so (since I first noticed it that is) without causing any problems, depending on what mileage your likely to cover I wouldn't sweat too much about it till you get back:beerjug:

Mine started to leak and within 100 miles the oil was running down the fork leg and covering the disk. Do it before you go. Apparantly its an easy job. But I had mine done for me so I would not know.

download the haynes manual pages Here 4 meg
