I am a newbie owner of a 1150GSA. The forks my bike don,t seem to have pitted much on the fork bottoms or the anodized legs though there were a couple of stone chips. I was thinking of using clear film to keep them looking pristine. I saw some products in a bike shop but thought them overpriced.

Went to "Poundland" and found some "really useful Clear Sticky Plastic cover" 1.5m long and 330mm wide. I bought some and using a paper guillotine cut strips to suit. It went on easy and did not bubble up like some plastic films I've use. I would post some pictures but you cant see it once its on, gives a great shiny finish. Time will tell how it lasts.

The price? no not a pound, only 50p each, but you have to buy two, enough for about 50 bikes I reckon.

May not be for you he man types that like the rough look but I like my bikes to look the best they can.
