Mulling over the idea of changing the yokes and forks on the R80g/s
but don't want to use F650 forks etc as I don't think they are good enough either....sooooooo
...anybody ever changed the front end ( I know Tarka did ) and use a more modern type of fork/yokes etc etc?

Oh, anybody ever ordered and fitted the orange Siebenrock single seat and rack....and if so how did that fit ?

Forks

I got a set of marzocchi magnum 50mm and yokes.
Very in keeping with the G/s,GS.
None of that USD lark.
Any good to you?

hi kenny,
i bought a black seat and rack from siebenrock.
welding on the rack was very poor,no mitre joints like the bmw on,lot of bird dropping weld and a small hole on one joint.
the seat was glue down over the bolt holes.
plastic seat coverwas stretched over sharp edges, and paint spray was very thin.did not fit very well .
not bad if you get one for a used price.but i reckon overall the one i got was poor.i sent it back for a refund, and got a bmw one.
bmw one much better finish ,but still did not fit correctly:blast

re the forks.i have some f650gs ones.r100gs ones and 1988ktm620wp/usd ones:augie think i will get rid of them ;)

I`ve still got the MK1 LegoBike set of modded DTR 41mm forks and yokes in my loft...which I removed in order to fit the XTZ750 front end on the Mk2 LegoBike.....along with the 21" front wheel fitted with an Akront alloy rim and stainless spokes.

It fits straight in to an R80g/s. :thumb2

The brake would need sorting though.
