I've seen a picture of a strange looking front mudguard extension for the R12G/S labelled N System. I can't find any information online, does anyone know any more about it?

Can’t help with the mudguard but it’s interesting to note the Chinese brake line if it’s OEM :nenau
I'm pretty sure all of the modern range of bikes from BMW and all of the other manufacturers have numerous parts sourced in China

They certainly don't make them like this anymore (1996 K1100)

So the issue with the inadequate front fender continues. Having just ridden on some filthy roads I found road crap is also flung forward and up over the front of the headlamp and straight in to the riders face. The problem really needs a solution, either a new design extending front and back or at least a beak extension like the above picture which isn’t available yet. Anyone found an appropriate beak that fits and works yet? Plenty on Aliexpress.

Last year I rode in some biblical rain in Germany and didn’t have any issues , only difference is I have the rally fairing fitted so not sure if this stopped it

Yeah, I searched too. There are lots of different shaped Beaks, one of which may fit the G/S but it would be pot luck.

So, I have written to BMW Motorrad UK about my front fender concerns.Particularly the crap that get thrown up and over the fender in to the riders face. They have passed it on to the appropriate team but I'm not holding my breath. The contact email for anyone else that feels like adding their own thoughts is Aaron at UK Customer Service BMW [email protected]

There is a fix out there, made by Kryomoto, Italy in partnership with Perego BMW Motorrad, Italy. The item called Kry-O Widened Front Beak. Im waiting to hear back from them.

I’ve ordered one from Pier City Customs , £90 which I do not think is too bad

thank you

Got back home late last night and the Front Fender Extender from Unit Garage (bought via Pier City Customs) had been delivered

Offered it up just to test fit and it is very good quality and looks like it will be a good fit

It comes with 3M adhesive pads already attached to it ready for fitting to the stock mudguard

I'll upload some better pictures in a few weeks time once I get it fitted as I'm off on tour into Europe tomorrow
