A couple of years back when I bought an 09 RT1200LE it was pristine bar corrosion on that front plate.
Having OCD as I do I waited and waited and NOG got a new plate from Germany and fitted it. Apparently the sealant has to cure for something like 12 or 24 hours when fitting those things!Anyway the cost was something like £90 for the plate and the same for labour. Apparently this is not an item they stock very often at all.
Anyway the old plate is in my garage and if anyone wants it to strip and get powder coated or whatever I thinks its got to be worth £40? PM me if you are interested. I cant throw it in the bin!!
(I am going through flogging all manner of accumulated stuff to help me get over the shock of buying a new gs LC!!!
