Does anyone know if the front power socket on the Adventure is separately fused.? If it was, I could change the fuse to use that for my GPS, rather than leave the ugly looking in-line fuse holder in the cable I have just bought.
I prefer to use this socket rather than hard-wire it.
Regards,

Charles

I have two power sockets on the front of my beak
Installed myself well with some help I have inline fuse
and I use one to run my heater waist coat and the other to plug in my GPS no worries

sorry it did not help you with your answer

oh my bikes a 1150 GS

but on the 1150GS the POWER SOCKET is fused cannot see it being any different on the ADV take a look in your hand book to see what number fuse look after power sockets

As an alternative, does anyone know where I can buy a plug to fit the accessory socket that is fused. The cable I had for my SP111 (a BMW Navigator cable) contained a fuse within the plug.

Regards,

Charles

Just strip back the insulation splice and solder in your gps lead and put an in-line fuse in 2Amp I believe and that should be fine .........well mine is !:D
