On the road, for now:-)
Help,

Whilst bleeding my brakes, or at least trying to bleed the front RHS the proxy bleed nipple decided to jump ship and commit suicide, it's snapped right off. Slightly irritating I must say. Now is it cheaper to get someone to remove the remainder of nipple or look for a used caliper???
Also which models of BMW use these brembo brakes. If anyone can advise me that would be great. eBay has a gs caliper at £150 which sounds expensive compared to a K1100 one at £50?!
Ideas would be greatly received with thanks :Motomartin:nenau

Just install a banjo bolt with an integral bleed nipple and then search for a caliper.
I recently bought some used calipers for my r1150gs from the italian ebay site and they are mint and cost £76 delivered.

As above, just install a banjo bolt with a bleed nipple. If the old one sheared while still closed then all is good.

Failing that, just remove the caliper and if you aren't confident to drill it out yourself then take it to a local engineering shop (or even a decent bike shop that has proper mechanics rather than factory parts fitters). If the caliper is in otherwise good condition then this should be a much cheaper option than a replacement...

Caliper

Thanks for the replies, it's much appreciated. My local engineers have broken two easy outs on the nipple today!! It's looking like its gonna be best to find a used one, either from a k11 or gs......
In the short term where do I find a nipple/banjo bolt?! Would it be safe enough?!
Thanks for all your help,
Dunnie:bow
