Front Seat Fit ?

Just had the front seat off my new to me '07 GS.
On refitting there seems to be a 3-4mm gap at the front by the tank.
The back end has clicked in.
Is there a knack getting these to go on properly ?

I struggled initially when putting my front seat back on. On my 2009 GSA there is a gap between the front of the seat and the tank. I prefer to crouch so my eyes are level with the seat and look from the side, and ensure the rear locating bar on the seat is in line with the receivers, then just push down. The trick is ensuring that the plastic lugs on the front of the seat are in the correct place. Its hard to describe, but once you've got the knak, its easy.

It looked like both bars underneath were in parallel slots ?

As Bear said the two plastic lugs slot in either side of the tank and then it should click down ok.

Both the front & rear bar can be adjusted in height.

The front lugs have not connected correctly, take it off and try again making sure the 2 front lugs lock on. Best bet is to go to Nippy Norman and buy a Wunderlich 'Seat Guide', works fine each time.
