I normally keep my bikes spotless, but I have sprayed this witjh ACF 50 and have enjoyed getting this one really grubby,
which has meant this little job is a real PITA..
I have spent quite a while getting to know and karate chopping my beloved 2010 GSA to get the seat on and off.
But even with all the chopping and pulling and pushing, it wont budge. I suspect something is jamming the mechanism. The bikesis fitted with OEM ally adv panniers and rails
I've followed the tips on this thread especially post #16 to remove the undertray/mudguard inner.
It says to remove the rear No. plate holder and a couple of screws towards the front. I'm having trouble getting that assembly off. I've removed the two forward screws that also hold the mudsling on, thats off now, also the longish vertical bolts that secure the rails under the rearmost part of the mudguard, near the plate. I've also removed the single vertical screw on the holder as well as the screws that hold each indicator in place, but nothings budging.
I think its because the under seat rear adventure pannier rail securing tabs are in the way and have to be moved
Can any learned Tosser tell me the procedure for removing the inner wheel arch so I can get to the mechanism. And am I right that the rails need to be lowered to allow the inner to drop down?
Any help gratefully appreciated.
See you in a tad, I'm off to ponder over my tea.
