I run a 2014 GSA and finding the front end bouncing over bumps and undulating roads when giving it some, rear set to hard. I am a 17 st lump, any advice as to setting front up would be appreciated.

Is this a new development, how many mls has the bike done, is the bike new to you.
A bit more info needed.
If your bike has ESA there is not a lot you can do apart from getting the front shock checked out.

I have ESA on mine so I'm not familiar with what adjustment you have. Thinking back to previous machines with non adjustable front suspension though, the easiest change to make, and therefore fist thing I'd try, is to ease off a bit on the hard rear setting. The two ends have to work together. May not help at all, but it's a quick and easy first step.

Best get it checked over in case your stanchions are about to fall out?

Found when on softer settings it was like a pogo stick on our crappy secondary roads here in N.I. when pushing on a tad.

Does it have ESA? If so see the dealer as there is no more adjustment you can make.

Fair enough. It was just a quick first thing to try suggestion really in case it helped. Sounds like you've either got a snag or need a proper set up job - aren't your local dealer a friendly enough bunch to dish out a bit of free advice?

You still have not said if the bike has ESA, Is the bike new to you, have you had the bike from new and this is a new development, we need some history to help. the more info the better the diagnosis.

ESA works on both front and rear. A first check - are all cables/linkages all connected where they are supposed to be? If you don't know, compare with a mate's bike.

You don't say whether the bike has always been like this or is it a recent development. If recent, and it was ok before, you have probably lost some or all of the damping from the front shock.
With ESA the only adjustment you have are the ones you have been using, there are no other 'set up' things you can do.
I would take it to a dealer and ask their opinion, you can then choose what couse of action to take.

OK guys thank you all for comments , just to confirm , there is no leaks on front suspension, and now see there is no adjustment to it. Guess it just cannot handle our bumpy side roads when pressing on a bit. My old RT 1150 handles great on same roads ,perhaps the smaller wheel has something to do with it along with shorter travel on rebound.

I agree.. my front went strange on the ride out for a service, apparently it was so bad the dealer wouldn't let me ride it until a replacement was fitted.

you may need to have the suspension calibrated , i had the same issue you described when i changed from 2012 to 2014 gsa, improved somewhat after revisiting dealer and they re calibrated .

Funny this should pop up.
I was riding a byway last night and the compression felt a bit firm even on soft it felt like it was bouncing off the larger rocks but not really losing steering, though a quick rebound would mask the skipping to a degree.
