Hi !
Yes, R1200RT ESA and Dynamic ESA are fully rebuildable and respond nicely to the tune and internal changes .
I have just made a video to visually show how front suspension should respond in comfort VS sport mode it was performed on the bike with the rear shock that didnt leak oil but also did not respond to the changes on the dash (rebound needle is seized in the position harder then sport setting)
In my opinion, locked up shocks are worse than broken shocks as they can drastically reduce traction and what goes with it rider safty.
This is very hard to detect to untrained eye, and bike will pass the MOT with this fault.

If the ESA system works properly, the bike response will change on the front and back simultaneously.
