I've searched on here, but can't find who makes a front wheel removal tool. Basically, it's a big hex head. I think it's 22mm.

Can anyone help??

Timmy's rules apply. Until I've had 5 proper answers :D

Halfords if you want it quick (multi steps so useful for lots of bikes)

It is a 22mm hex........You can get them from Ebay but most decent tool shops will also do them....I think I got one for my 'away' kit from Halfords, one of their lifetime guaranteed professional range :thumb2

You can often bodge one up by using a 22mm headed bolt with another bolt tack welded on to it, but get the right thing if you can :thumb2

PS you also need a torx 45 bit....don't be tempted to use a 40 just because it feels like a loose but OK fit......

Go to your local machine shop/metal fabricator and ask for an off cut of 22mm hex bar 50mm long. Will cost next to nothing. Why pay silly prices at Buster's , Halfords etc.

1 bolt and 2 nuts. Nothing more complicated than that. No special tool required and no welding.

Tighten the nuts together on the bolt and stick the bolt head in the axle. Unless you axle is seized you should have no issue removing it.

Now why didn't I think of that? Painfully obvious when pointed out!

Wheel spanner

Do a search one U.S. member sells them complete with a tool for removing ht
leads they clip togther and are very small and it works fine. I think it was a thread about sorting tools for touring several other things there as well cost me£30.00 for the both and you can use a socket on the spanner and don't require large one use torque bits.

All sorted now thanks to BISBEE.

Come on. Your answers are far too sensible. But thanks anyway. Bring on the daftness. It IS the 1200 section after all :D:D
