Front wheel removal tool

I hope Richard Dover, the originator of this thread, will forgive this - but I had these made up and I have some spare.

Made using a Genuine BMW rear wheel bolt and a piece of hex. bar machined and tapped to accept the bolt, the bolt then welded to the bar.

So, the Torx bit you already carry (?) for rear wheel removal will fit the front wheel too!
The hex. bar is long enough to accept a socket, ring spanner or even an open-ended or adjustable spanner if things are desperate enough.
But it's small enough to take no room in the toolkit.

I had 20 made and will keep two myself, so 18 are up for grabs!
Anybody interested -- email me.

£10 each inc UK P&P

Phil

No problem - glad to help -------- Phil

pmc1058 - I've just checked my pm inbox and nothing there from you, and I'm sorry to have to tell you that they've all been allocated.
I still have some, waiting for cheques and delivery addresses, so if one of the remaining results in a "no-sale" then I'll put you at the top of the list, OK?

Also, if there is sufficient demand I could always have another batch made.

Anybody who wants to have one made for themselves, it's easy:-

1 genuine BMW rear wheel bolt (mine cost £2.50 each)
1 small engineering company with lathe and mig/tig welding to machine the appropriate countersink angle and tap a thread into a piece of 22mm hex bar to accept the bolt, and then lock weld the bolt to the bar at the tapped end.
And fanny's your aunt

Cheers -- Phil
