I paid about the same for chunk of hex steel off eBay (sold as a BMW front axle adaptor buts its really just a lopped off chunk of bar stock). It does the job. An alloy one would be lighter and I'd probably carry that with me rather than weighing down my tool box.

If you want a 100% functional tool for only the cost of a nut, a screw and a run of weld, try this.
I keep this on my workshop pegboard. The 22mm screw once held a valve into a Toyota automatic gearbox, the 22mm nut came from a discarded suspension ball joint, and my local welder owed me a favour.
Total cost: zero.
A suitable high-tensile nut and bolt from your local hardware store would work just as well.
