Anyone found a cheap (home made?) spanner for removing front wheel axel?,
my home made mk1 dident work and mk 2 is in production. Any one know which size bolt has a head of 22mm (spanner size)?, only biggish metric bolts I have are all allen bolts.

Go to a local metal fabricators or workshop and get a 50mm length of 22mm hex bar. Probably cost you no more than 50p.
Use a 22mm socket on said bar to undo. Simples.

Have a look here.
Simple and cost effective or get a suitable bolt and lock 2 nuts on the thread which you use the spanner on.

Thanks for all the replys, the site about his tool kit was what I was looking for
something like that is what I am after making. I don't want to carry around a 19mm spanner but really need a bolt head with a 3/8 drive socket welded to it
as per his site. Whjat I really want to know is what size bolt has a 22mm head on it? the bolt head across the flats is 22mm but what dia would the bolt be?. I must sound like a div but as I said I havent got any largish metric bolts to try out. Once I have the size I can get a couple of nuts and F... up a few sockets!, but it will make a nice little tool take up no space and always be there if wanted. All the other tools are 3/8 so always have a ratchet bar and this will be very handy in emergencies, very nice devices on the us site but don't need to spend a bomb on bits I can make.
So, anyone help out with the nut size required please?.
