On the one hand I fixed my stuck fast idle lever; I think the tiny screw in the middle of the three that hold the idle lever housing on had winkled it's way out towards the wing mirror and was preventing the lever from moving. Bit rusty in there gave it some lubrication and put it back together all okay.
Whilst trying to trace the route of the cable for the idle I'd lifted the tank, when I put things back together I had fuel spitting upwards from the end of one of the pipes that comes from the silver panel on the inside of the tank to the right.
I have moto works connectors on each side towards the front put on by previous owner. There are two other connectors side by side on the right side that are black and are OEM at a guess. Whilst manoeuvring the tank one of these opened on its own and I disconnected the other one. They're an absolute bugger to get back together again, however I joined them and got a nice click. But when I turn the ignition on one of them is leaking.
Should they be changed or am I doing something stoopid. I think moving the tank unnecessarily might have been stoopid but I have discovered something that needs sorting.
There is no fuel leaking in my garage now as everything is disconnected, don't worry.
Bit stuffed as I can't ride it to take it somewhere
