Whats the top tips for increasing MPG?

TBH im confused, long trip sitting at a steady reasonable speed I get crap economy, but recently ive been doing high speed bombing trips to work and back for 20 mins per trip and been getting better economy.

Initially I was getting 200-220 and now im getting 220 to 250 before light.

Im would also like to know what reserve should achieve. By my workings I would think 35 miles or there abouts.

the ZC

1.Remove panniers when you dont need them.
2.Replace cat with Y piece.
3.Check TPS voltage is in spec. The higher the reference voltage, the richer it fuels.New plugs/airfilter/TB balance/valve clearances.Basically ensure the motor is set up properly.
4.Riding style. No revving the nuts off it unless you really want to.
5.Aerodynamics.A GS doesn't have any,so try not to think about it.Its always better if you have the wind behind you.
The faster you go,the more fuel you will use per mile period.
I achieve between 45 and 50 ish MPG at reasonably legal speeds.
I work on the principle that the less money if give to Gordon Browne, the happier i feel.

They're all a bit different. Due to the float arm being a piece of coathanger wire, plus it gets slightly bent everytime the fuel filter gets changed. ;)
