Fuel filter alternative?

Fuel pump has become a bit noisy and am due for a fuel filter change...questions is - is there an alternative to the BMW in tank filter (ie do I have to travel 130km to the dealer!). I recall that there is a Deutch (sp?) part? ... or is this only for the external filter mod?

Do it your self motor works do a service kit for around £35 includes all filters, plugs, seals and washers, so they must do just the fuel filter kit.
Doh! just realised your location amount of times I do that.
