Hi, broke down today, cold wait for 2 hrs and problem was the bike just cut-out. First thing checked the spark-ok. Then the injectors were working-ok. Fuses-ok Then listened to the Fuel pump-ok. RAC man said it must be fuel supply problem. Got me thinking, when I changed the fuel filter 6 weeks ago I couldn't get that bloody BMW clip back on (I have since read post from Steptoe where he says you don't need to, just change it at entrance of tank instead of taking it off completly!) and sort of crimped it on and suspect it has come off. Anyway, I have read two different things on the forum, one being that you can use jubilee clips and the other that there in no room to tighten one up. Can anyone confirm that it's OK to use jubilee clips or some other solution. Happy new years Tossers. Mark.

i have used jubilee clips on my 1150, i liftted the pump out of the tank without removing it from the tank compoletly, there is room to do it, so i'd have a look and make sure the fuel filter is still connected correctly. if it is then it'll be some thing else :)

There are better clips out there than jubilee (worm drive) clips for the GS, at the small sizes neeeded for MC applications they are decidedly D shaped, I got some fuel injection type clips from my motorfactor, they tighten as a circle and you will avoid problems in the future:thumb2
