according to the book i should change the fuel filter at 24000 miles on my 11gs i got the bike with 25000 on the clock no proof that the filter was changed it now has 7500 on and running fine,i have heard that because we have clean fuel in uk you can leave it for a longer interval. Also how often should you grease the splines on the shaft if at all? all advice welcome.

Mine didn't get replaced until 65k. Didn't cause any problems but it was completely black and full of shite when I did get round to it. I'd suggest you do change it when you get a chance but don't let it keep you awake at night til then :thumb2

It's not the fuel that causes fuel filter blockages. It's water.

No need to grease the shaft splines at all.

many thanks for all the advice i will get round to the filter shortly, and the splines is one less thing to do ta steptoe:D:thumb2
