The fuel gauge on my 08 1200GS has stopped working, intially the Range indicator showed the correct range for the amount of fuel I knew I had but the gauge on the left showed empty and the yellow triangle was on and "fuel" was flashing. As I was riding the range indicator quickly zeroed
(within 2 miles) and is now blank.
Upshot is fuel gauge shows empty, yellow triangle permanantly on and the "fuel" light constantly flashing.

Coincidently I had just washed the bike but have now ridden it for 50 miles ish and the problem still exists.

Has anyone else experienced a problem like this, is there an easy fix.

Many Thanks

The sensor is in the tank so washing won`t have affected anything.

I presume it`s still under warranty so get it back to the dealer and get them to sort it out. That`s what warranty is for:thumb

Dead easy fix. Take it back to the dealer - it's under warranty. Don't even need to get yer hands dirty!

dealer fix

As stated above get it back to your dealer, my new 09 GSA failed as i was running it in :) orange light said fill up with 157 range still left.

New sensor fitted at first service but to be honest i always use the trip meter to know when to fill up.

Dealer Contacted

Thanks lads,

Contacted dealer and need to talk to their mechanic tomorrow to arrange for repair, intial thoughts are that its a sensor.
I am going to try to wait until the 6K service to get it done, but thats dependant on whether the flashing warning does me 'ed in or not.

Cheers
