BMW 1200 GSA (2008). 35,000+ miles.
The fuel guage stopped working about 7 months ago, so I have to now rely on setting the trip meter every time I re-fuel. The fuel gauge reads empty when you fill her up, then after about 60 miles reads full, and still reads full after 330+ miles.
But you know what. I DON'T CARE! I still love this bike.
I've had 2 final drive failures and have broken down at the side of the road twice in the past 2.5 years, and I still don't care. I still love it.
I've dropped it in sand in Romania, and again in snow and ice in England. Both times need help to get the heavy bugger up again, but I still wouldn't swap this bike for anything else on the market.
It's been around 35 countries, in all sorts of weather, or all sorts of road surfaces. On motorways, alpine twisties, Russian gravel traps, Bavarian sweepers..... I honestly can't think of another bike I'd rather have done it all on.
Sorry, just thought I'd post something tending towards positive as re-visiting this forum you only ever see posts about people's problems (as everyone else is too busy out there having a great time riding to pop in and post positive comments).
The 1200GSA... it has it's character flaws... but show me a bike that doesn't!!!!
