Hi All,
My fuel guauge on the RID has all the bars "lit up" and not showing any reduction, I thought I'd got the Magic fuel which never needed refilling!!:thumb, however coming back from a meeting I got to 200 miles on the trip and thought I'd better fill up as the orange warning light didn't come on, is this likely to be a fuse or a knackered display? ALl the other bits , gear indicator and temp are working. Thoughts appreciated.

fuel

Ah, is this a common thing , can it be fixed by hitting with a hammer:eek: or is more specialised and delicate adjustment required?:nenau John B

If you were riding fairly gently you may have just not used enough fuel to make the light come on. I often get around 210-220 miles before the light appears.

Re the display I can't help as mine's been fine apart from a spell when it refused to show full with one bar out but it fixed itself.

I'd just fill up every 200 miles or so (remember to set the trip) and get it fixed when the fuel filter (in the tank) needs replacing.
