Fuel Gauge

Hi guys

I have a '97 R850R which was built up from boxes of bits lol .... great bike after lots of electrical faults, I still need to replace the fuel sender (low fuel warning light not working) unit but, before I do, does anyone know if it's possible to wire in a fuel gauge so I have a good idea what's in the tank ?
I've run out of fuel a few times (VERY embarrassing lol) and have to 'short hop' petrol stations on long rides (quite annoying for my mates) so I need something to get rid of my 'out of fuel paranoia'

I think you need to fit an RID from a similar year GS or RT and perhaps others, the wiring is very likely to be in your loom, not sure about the sender though.
