fuel gauge?

Can anyone tell me if the fuel leval gauge/sender in the tank is near or attached to the filler neck??.
just been to a trip to wales and my gauge is stuck on Full, even after a 200 miles?.
I have rescently modded my filler spout,so its that or the rain? are the possible causes?.

It is not particularly close to the filler neck. The sender strip is part of the fuel pump assembly, located on the left front edge of the tank. I guess your problem is unrelated to the changes you made.
