You'll have more problems with the quailty than the availability........
There are now lots of filling stations......I'd guess the max distance between is now about 200 miles, but even then, there are lots of bedoiun camps next to the roadside ...keep your eyes open as a fair few of them have signs up saying they sell fuel.
There were two new petrol stations being built on the new road across the Sahara section as well in January.
Fuel is dirt cheap in Mori, but it's really shit quality.......my C90 conked out and would hardly run on the stuff but as soon as we hit Senegal and filled up with better fuel, it ran fine again.
I've got a dozen or so maps of petrol stations but TBH they're out of date and probably not worth looking at.
PSOne tip....don't go through Rosso, turn right at the Total station before you enter town and drive the 80km along the mud road along the dyke to Diama...the border crossing is as expensive as Rosso (but negotiable) however it's infinitely less hassle there.
(keep your sense of humour as you find you're charged 10 euros by the little guy who opens a barrier pole

)
Make sure you go to the Zebrabar as well..its about 17km south of St Loius and it'll be a welcone break..it's a desert island paradise
(PS check their website and print off one of their free beer vouchers to take as well.)
Enjoy the trip
