A strange thing happened to me today.I was out and about and coming up to 250 miles on the tacho but the fuel gauge was reading just under half full and the range estimator was showing 200 plus miles.
Now, I have only had the bike since December and I know it has a long range but not 500 plus miles.
Getting close to 300 miles on my tacho no refueling light and still half a tank and 200 miles range remaining. I got some juice (it took £25), re-set everything and I now have a full tank and a 300 mile range. Has any one else had this problem?
One thing it may have been is that when I put it on the side stand before I left I could here the fuel rushing over to the left hand side of the tank and I dont recall hearing this before.Perhaps it thought it had a partial refill.
Any one got any bright ideas before I call the dealers?

They stick from time to time and / or develop little lives of their own. Mine started counting upwards once, then down. The top chocolate block lights up once in a blue moon, too. Just to surprise me.

Quirky and as about as much use a chocolate teapot.

Think it takes a time to calibrate I think. Mine has done a few thousand miles now and done 320 miles last week before i refuelled with 4miles indicated on the gauge. How many miles has yours done?

Its done just over 2K the fuel waring light has come on at about 230 / 240 miles which is about right.Perhaps it is just a suck it and see situation.I thought i had bought a bike with an accurate fuel gauge ,now that would be a novelty !

Same here....the last block on the fuel gauge didn't come up post the ride out- fill up today. What a LOVELY day for it though!! :D

Mines the same ........................ I find the range indicator only becomes accurate once it's down to 50 miles and the yellow warning triangle illuminates. It's nothing to worry about :comfort

I brim my o7 GSA on the center stand, ride off and it still says I'm low on fuel, it gradually rises but not until it's used enough fuel that it's used enough so the top bar never shows! Guess that's why they call them a guage and not an accurate.

Gave up on mine

My gauge for my 06 GSA starting telling big lies at about 12k miles, It seems to behave differently every day. it's annoying, but i just use the trip meter and fill up every 200 miles now.

My gauge was all over the shop; regularly climbing between 200 and 300 miles from 1 bar to 3/4 full! Now been changed and seems much better. I still use the trip though and fill up between 300 and 330 miles. When yellow light comes on, it takes about 32l.
