Hi guys

I have a 2001 1150GS with 90000Km.
The problem is this... imagine that you are traveling with 5 or 6K rpm and you approach a turn or a traffic light and you close the throttle , you go down the gears and the revs drop to about 2,5K. Then you open the throttle again BUT... nothing happens. It is like i am out of gas .Then i close the throttle and reopen it and the problem is gone!!! if i dont let the revs drop under 3K it does not happen. also it happens some times when i stop at a traffic light but it does not die out but it stutters for 5 seconds and then everything is normal again.. I have changed the fuel filter but nothing happened . TPS maby ?? i really need your help on this :bow since it happens while i am taking a turn with closed throttle. Oh it does not occur when i am driving in town with low rpm :blast

perhaps a squirt of the correct lubricant at both butterfly wheels and into the cable could be in order? did you ever have your cables replaced?

no i have never replaced them but i dont know about the previous owner(i bought it with 80K) .But the throttle grip moves freely ,if the buterfly wheel is stuck how can i twist the grip?

it could be snagging. they get old. Might be worth getting it checked out by someone. best of luck it

Throttle

Take apart the twist grip and oil the cables around the grip worked for me several times.

ok i will do so ,but i can not understand how it will solve thr problem since the grip rotates smoothly

i will inform you about the outcome..:thumb

after doing some reading on the forum i found out that he pressure regulator might be the problem..
so i chenged it about a year ago and the problem stopped:)

until a week ago :blast

i really dont think that it has broken down again. Maybe it was something different from the begining. Any suggestions?

If i go to the dealer would it be possible for them to find the problem from the faults in motronic??

if your problem is electric related, most probably.
