Fuel pump, may be nothing but please advise

Hi,

I took the old girl out for a wee run today and noticed I could hear the fuel pump buzzing away while I was sitting at junctions. Question is, is this normal.? I cant remember hearing this in the past but then again that may just be my imagination.

When I switch the ignition on I get the usual noise of the pump taking up the pressure then stops so no problem there, its just while the engine is running.

Any words of wisdom appreciated, even if it is just to tell me not to be so paranoid.

If it gets bad, replace your fuel filter.
