When I bought my 1150 GS the bike arrived with a dented tank.
I got the dent fixed and a lovely job they did of it.
Go forward a number of years and when I looked into my tank I saw floating in the fuel long strips of paint.
Obviously what happened was they repaired the dented outside but did not treat the inside of the tank and the paint has slowly but gradually peeled off the inside of the tank.
So now I am faced with the task of dealing with this.
First thing I thought of was paint stripper but as the outside of the tank is still in very good condition I do not really like the idea of getting stripper on the paint.
Unfortunately that was my only thought about this.
Does anyone else have any ideas on how to fix this problem.
Thanks
Adrian
