Well, it seems the sender unit on mygs1100 is packing up, and the bits of plastic that form part of it (the track on which the arm is supposed to register that hold the arm swivel in place, not the best description, I know!)are worn out so the reading is all over the place...but price for a new one seems a bit steep!
it looks like you should be able to replace just part of the mechanism...but no price quoted just for the bit thats worn...seems like a standard "bwm pay through the nose" ploy.
has anyone got a sender unit in good nick they would be willing to sell, by chance??

Paging St.Eptoe........telephone call in the parts departmet......:D

yes, looks like uncle steppers will be the answer, altho' still have some faint (or desparate?)hopes fiddling with the contacts will get it working , its really quiet a rubbish design actaully, very surprising for such a quality of bike, renowned for the superb quality of wiring, and electronic components generally.....pardon?
