Hi peeps.
Quick question. Does the baglux/bagster tank harness come in one size and be able to fit both the 1150GSA tank sizes (ie the small & 30+ litre) or does the tank harnes come in two sizes for the 1150GSA depending on what tank you have.
Ta.

The 1150GSA tankbag will not fit a standard 1150GS, follow the link below for specifics.

My bike is a 1150 GSA but it looks like I have the smaller tank & not the big one.
So I wouldn't call it the standard 1150GS tank but the smaller GSA tank.

OK, in simple terms, I can buy a second hand tank cover that fits and has been used on the 1150 GSA big tank.
Will it still fit the 1150GSA smaller tank?

I've only had mi beemer for two months and am not familiar with all the bit folk like to add on.

tank cover

If it is definately off a GSA it will fit, but very very loosely. You need to go for a 22litre tank cover by the sounds of it.

You must be riding like a right girly if you haven't used a full tank of fuel in two months :D :thumb

Ah, ok.

Now to really make me look like a thickie (as I've never filled the tank from dry), I'm really not sure if mine has the big tank or small one.

Here's a pic of mi steed. 2003 reg (previous owners photos)

Covers between the 22 and 30 litre tanks are different but I had a feeling most bags fitted, I am using the bag from my Daytona and it went straight on

Difficult to tell from the pictures but it looks like the BIG tank to me.

If you have the original purchase order it will tell you or alternatively you can ring your nearest BMW main dealer ( Motorad) and give your reg number and they will tell you what tank it has fitted. I believe the earlier Adventures had the option of two tank sizes. Later models came standard with the larger tank.

That's what I wanted to hear :)

Ringing a dealer is an option I s'pose. Failing that I should just run the tank right down (and hopefully not run out) and then top the bugger right to the top. Just to make sure loik.

Cheers.

I've just upgraded from small to large tank and was about to buy a new tank cover. Tried the old small cover on big tank and its fits fine apart from the clear window does not line up exactly with BMW rondel. Apart from that its fine so thats £100 saved. :)
