Yes. Since I did it originally it is still the same and I have not noticed any degradation or reversion to previous state. I am convinced there was something amis that this procedure put right.

Did mine, and then went on a 340km ride Saturday on a real mixture of roads. There is a noticeable difference when changing up from 3/4/5 and 6th much smoother. I always thought mine should be better, and was a little disappointed before, but now I’m much happier with it.

I'm not sure if its in the mind, but mine does seem smoother after this little trick
